2013 Summer Picks for Her

Summer is upon us and this year HOTlanta is really living up to it's Southern Summer name. There is a chance of rain every day this week but it's still in the 80's and 90's. This means it's incredibly humid, which is just gross! Between the weather and my baby, my hair doesn't stand a chance. How long do you think I could wear it up in a bun with a headband before my husband divorces me? This 'do can surely only be cute on occasion, right? 

I'm currently sitting in our air conditioned apartment, dressed in my bathing suit and a romper. The weather outside looks questionable but if the rain holds out we'll be visiting the pool once Benjamin wakes from his nap. In the meantime I'm occupying myself by swooning over some Summer faves I thought I'd be so kind as to share with you. You can thank me later. Seriously.

Retro Swimwear - A few months ago I shared my 2013 Swimsuit Search [finds] with you but if you can believe it, I've found more! I can't seem to get over how adorable these retro-inspired suits are. That hot pink and white polka dot one? I die. It's called The Bella and made to order for only $79! Although, the Zimmerman Brightside Floating Underwire One Piece would never fit my girls, I'm digging that unique cut out, the print, and the colors! I pretty much love all the suits at Anthro right now. The Change of Tides One Piece in Reef is probably my favorite because of the convertible straps. This is a slimming suit in a bright shade of red that I'm pretty sure I could rock. I love the thick straps and that they could be worn (or not!) in several different ways.

Sparkly Accessories - These rhinestone and baubles hair combs from ban.do send my heart aflutter. They could make anyone's coif look like a million bucks but at $300 each they'll forever remain on my smitten list. Lovin' these round polka dot sunglasses by Steve Madden, which would look great poolside, dontchathink? I love anything sparkly and colorful, especially during the Summer. They don't even need to match, to match! These Jade Boho Rings really caught my eye. They're dyed Jade wrapped in 16k gold for only $24 each! The pink Sweet Opulence Earrings are another great find from *Ruche for only $10.99. Score!

Colorful Sandals - Being a Cali girl at heart, I could live in sandals year around (when I'm not barefoot). Unfortunately, I can't always wear them here because of the rain (rain, go away!) but I digress. Sandals are really great for this lazy busy mom who really can't be bothered with laces whilst running out the door. Enter, Mod Cloth. Wowzers!! Have you seen their Summer collection?! No? Well here ya go. Seriously, go! The prices are amazing.

Fun Nails - I really must find the time to get my mani on. I am constantly pinning fun manicures to my "Mama Style" board on Pinterest. A friend of mine just turned 30 and treated herself to that awesome mani on the top right. Pretty darn fabulous if you ask me!

Must Reads - So in my dreams I'm lying out, poolside, in my super cute swimsuit, sporting shades and just the right bit of sparkle. My freshly manicured hands are holding one of two books by my favorite author (Jodi Picoult) that I have yet to find the time to read. I'm probably sipping on something with alcohol in it but shhh, don't tell anyone, ok? You can have some too. I share. Usually.
