Bits + Pieces

1. We spend a lot of time in bed and this is the view in front of us. I love how the light shines in the window first thing in the morning. I'm usually the first person awake (coming from a self proclaimed night owl!) so I get to enjoy this lovely light and peace and quiet for a short while. // 2. Benjamin with his Auntie. He turned 8 weeks this week! // 3. We went to Rodrigo's Mexican Grill for dinner and had yummy fajitas and margaritas. I only had about 1/3 of my drink because it tasted so strong and I'm still not pumping. It was good though! Benjamin needed a little coaxing in the ring sling but he eventually fell asleep and I transferred him to his car seat while we ate. // 4. I adore this bay window. I know it may seem silly but I really do. It's my view to the right of the [aforementioned] bed and through it I can see right out onto the street. I like the blinds cracked upward like this, letting light in and allowing me to see spy out at the world. The neighborhood mailboxes are in front of the house so people are coming and going all day long. I feel like the gossipy old block lady only I share my stories with an 8 week old and he's pretty good at keeping mum. // 5. Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs & Green Machine. Yum! Moving forward with the dairy free diet and it hasn't been much of a problem at all. I guess because there were already so many restrictions to my diet for 9 months while I was pregnant makes this all a little easier to "cope" with. I did realize today that the cereal I've been eating (Honey Bunches of Oats) has milk in it so we picked up some different ones at the store today. Oops. // 6. Benjamin loves his bath time. Loves! Yesterday he had an impromptu bath and this was his first time without having  me in there with him. Once we move I need to get him a foam pad to use in the tub or sink for the times I need to give him a quick wash. (We ended up exchanging the tub we had registered for because I didn't think it was necessary after all. But diapers are!) Immediately after his bath his hand found his mouth. He's been a bit more cognizant of his hands this week. Holding onto things with more of a purpose. // 7. Benjamin with his Nana. She will miss him and he will miss her. ♥ // 8. The packing continues. I've officially packed away the remaining size newborn / 0-3 mo. and Pampers size 1 diapers (Huggies fit fine still, along with size 1/2 Kirkland's). I've set aside all of his 3-6 mo. (and some smaller 6-9 mo.) to take with us to Georgia, along with a select amount of toys and books. Other than this we'll be bringing his bath necessities, the breast pump + accessories, and his swing. Everything else will come when we send for it in a couple of months. // 9. My mom snapped some pics of me and my lovebug on my iPhone for me. He's just the cutest, isn't he? I can't believe how big he is either! This sweater outfit was among his size 6 mo. clothing that I had a feeling he might fit soon. Soon. Not at 8 weeks!! This kid is going to be taller than me by the time he's five years old. // Happy weekend, friends! ♥
