A few months ago I received an email from my friend and former [Paper Source] co-worker, Mary. She told me that she was expecting and interested in maternity and newborn photos. I was so honored she thought of me! In early June I met her and her husband, Mark, at their home in Atlanta for their session. I instantly fell in love with their charming home, especially their front porch. Mary told me she spent a lot of time on the swing which I thought was so sweet. The lighting was perfect so we did most of their photos there.
After a while, Mary changed her outfit and then the two of us drove to a nearby state park. The greenery was insanely gorgeous and I'm basically obsessed with this image to the left!
Mary and I had been pinning ideas for her session together for a while and she wanted to recreate an image she saw of a mom-to-be reading a children's book. I loved this idea and thought it would be so cute to include the same book in a photo with their new baby!
We're all so glad we did their maternity session when we did because baby Henry decided to make an appearance earlier than expected! Here he is at just 6 days new. He was so teeny and sweet! I just loved holding (and of course photographing) him. Here are a few of my favorites:
