What Ben Wore : House of Mia Review + GIVEAWAY

Finally, we've have had a few rain free afternoons this week! We had a playdate lined up for Monday that I cancelled and then it didn't even rain (whomp whomp) so I ended up rescheduling it for next week. I've been so busy all week- editing sessions for clients, meeting for appointments, and getting ready for our trip that there hasn't really been time for going outside anyway. Today we had to run some props I'd borrowed across town to Lawrenceville so on the way out I decided to stop at the park to let Benjamin crawl around and go on the swings for a bit. It's been a while since I've posted "What Ben Wore" and I thought today was the perfect day! I absolutely LOVE this new outfit of Benjamin's. Adore. It's cute and comfy which is a priority since he is so mobile now. With babies and in Summer especially, shoes are optional, dontchathink?
Details:
A few weeks ago I contacted Rachel of House of Mia about a possible collaboration. I am a huge fan of her shop and was dying to get my hands on a pair of these 100% organic cotton leggings. The prints are so fun and most of them are unisex. I about died when I saw this triangle print and knew they would look great on Benjamin. Rachel got back to me immediately and imagine my surprise when she told me what a fan she was of ME! She told me she was a long time reader of this blog... back in the Blythe doll and scrapbooking days! I was so touched by her kind words! Seriously, she's the sweetest.

House of Mia was born along with her daughter, Amelia (Mia) in 2005. She says, "I was determined to create products that were simple, sweet, & on trend. All infant/toddler leggings, newborn knit hats, silk-screened shirts & hair accessories are made with 100% organic cotton, designed by me, exclusively for House of Mia."
The first thing I noticed when I received the package was the cute packaging. I love the branding tags and custom sizing label inside the actual leggings. I wash everything Benjamin wears before he wears it. These leggings came with a care instructions card (loved that) advising to hand wash and hang dry. I recently tried my hand at sewing knit for the first time. It is NOT easy. I gave up halfway through my project and have yet to try again. Because of that experience I feel I can appreciate quality work and these are high quality! Before I washed them, I turned them inside out and the stitching and seams were fantastic. The fabric is organic cotton and very soft. I can tell that these are going to withstand him army crawling around our apartment so that makes me happy!
This stance kills me. So cute!
